Dearest darlings...

It appears that I rather neglected you yesterday; and I can't tell a lie, I'm not even really sure why. Ah yes, I recall. I slept in. I mean really slept in, it was about 14:30 before I managed to haul myself out of bed, which even by my standards is pretty late! So, here's me, awakening up at silly o'clock and stumbling downstairs to have food or drink tea and there's this note "Please do domestic chores and meet me in Wakefield at 16:30! Momma xxxx" and I just though "HOLY SHITCAKES" and had to message her and be like "WHAT CHORES?!?!" so when I was waiting for that I tidied the whole kitchen and took out the bin and everything and got back "Dishwasher that's all! Come. finishing at 4.30. Meet you in satUrday car park. xx" yeah, she's got a cutesie writing style (she can't use her blackberry...).

So obv. after my "chores" I RAN into Wakefield. I didn't run, I got the bus, that's another £2.30 down the pan. DAMN YOU ARRIVA BUSES, DAMN YOOOOOUUUU!!! Bah. Anyway, tea and latte in Costa with the lovely, lovely Costaman who we have named "Mr. Tea" on account of his pouring my tea for me because they had no teapots :3 (I say we, I mean Miss Cia Kate, go check out her blog she's a cool cat). He has really, really pretty eyes. I mean, most people have eyeballs, but I would like to congratulate him on those. By snogging off his face.

AND I MADE WHITE SAUCE, using the roux method (oooh snazzy as all hell, I know) so we had salmon, peas, sweetcorn and pasta ooouh how exciting I hear you cry, well, SUCK IT UP my blog. I don't mean that sweetie come back to me xxxoxoxxo.

Our freezer is an egomaniac I've decided. We're having kitchen appliance problems essentially. Well, one appliance really, our fridge-freezer is a little bit of a party-pooper and basically has a case of multiple personality disorder. The fridge is Jekyll, and the freezer is Hyde. Mr. Hyde is the most ridiculously freezery freezy in the history of the entire world. Oh my god, on my life we got the Ben and Jerry's out of the freezer before we mixed up all the pasta, and then tried to serve it up after we'd done. It was literally like granite (that had just been lava, yeah it moved a little I guess) but SERIOUSLY it was rock solid, so I had to wait another 20 minutes until it was edible. And poor Dr. Jekyll doesn't even chill anything anymore.

Spent the evening at my friend's house again. I swear my bedroom is smaller than his house bathroom. MASSIVE HOUSE. We watched Kung-Fu Panda, which in my opinion is one of the funniest films to have been released so far this century, and then Over The Hedge- which I admit is not my favourite kids film but christos, there are some real chortle moments. I think that says a lot about me, I really love kids films, they're so easy-going, a bit like me I guess. There was some hilarity to be had at the hands of my friends, I can honestly say I'd never been used as physical leverage in a fight before till yesterday. Nor had I been literally smothered in the name of fun, graowl.

Anyway, I got back at stupid o'clock (03:30...) and got up at feckin' 07:45. Nightmare. I guess it's my own fault so I shouldn't complain.

No doubt I'll have purchases to show later on as I'm about to run off to go shopping, and I'll write up the recipe for white sauce just in case anyone is interested.

Ack. Gotta go!

I don't want to update, mummy don't make me

What am I saying, my mother doesn't make me update my blog. I don't think she even knows it exists. Whatever. But yeah, I'm really, really tired and didn't particularly want to update right now. I just want to sleep. Or have a bath, or maybe sleep in the bath (don't worry I have a blow-up neck pillow, there's very little chance of me drowning at all). I'm very tired because I didn't get home till very late last night, like, 04:30 late. Consequently I had real trouble waking up this morning, despite of my brother's very deliberate bellowing whilst playing on COD.

We missed the 14:00 showing of Sherlock Holmes: Game of Shadows (just for your information imdb.com gave the film a pretty spiffy 7.8 out of 10, wow imdb-ers you sure enjoyed Robert Downey Jnr's cavorting, didn't you?) so got the bus into town to go to the showing an hour later. This of course meant we went to KFC for luncheon, an excellent and delicious choice indeed, and then on to see the film! I have to say I really enjoyed it, but I'd anticipated that as I loved the first one so much. I thought the plot was darned exciting, and I liked it when Mary got thrown out of the moving train.. I also liked Stephen Fry's Myecroft (and his butler Stanley, I could have laughed out loud at the "where are you going?!" bit) and the world war theme running through it. Could have chucked my cinnamon popcorn up at the "who is the fisherman and who is the trout" hook bit though, it was pretty intense to say the least.

Pizza Express have got a new boy, and oh my! isn't he a cutie? Yes, yes he is actually, he was very pleasant both to talk to and to look at, and he suggested we use another 241 ticket and get a free salad to have with our pizzas as it would cost the same as the pizzas on their own. The best bit was the super lime-filled carafe of water and the "Promotional savings £31.20" when the bill only came to £26.40 to actually cough up. We gave him a nice tip (which is probably the only reason he was lovely, but I'm not bothered, he made me feel happy okay).

I'm tired now. It's only just turned nine and I am seriously tempted to just turn in for the night right now. Not even joking.

I forgot to post my buddiez--

Clockwise from whale: Sausage, Peppa Pig, Princess Phoebe and Milo Stegson
These are my babies, the steggie and the whale are bought; steggie from Cornwall, whale from Wakefield (a christmas present from my brother). The oinker was knitted by my great-grandma (I'm a little fond with Peppa Pig) and unicorn is knitted by my good friend Cia.

It's the witching hour!

It isn't, it's actually 18:49, but there's a song called Twilight playing in the background (there's literally nothing on so I've ended up on 4music) so I figured I could legit put that as a title. I already updated today but whatcha gon' do? I have new things to say and a picture. :)

I've had a really gorgey day, up at the wholly unholy (heh heh) hour of 08:30 and went to Junction 32 (shopping "village") in Castleford and bought the crockery I posted a picture of earlier, I'm still really pleased with those! Got back and had lunch and then my friend was all like "LET'S GO FOR COFFEE RIGHT NOW IN WAKEFIELD" I'm all "yeah sure" because I sure do love coffee and natter, and she can help me out with that. Seems that loads of people I know were in town today, but we only bumped into one friend. We plobbled across to Trinity Walk and I bought some SHOES, oh my gosh they're super. They were only £8.99! I was looking for brogues, but these are more me I reckon.

They've got a little heel and are a tiny bit walking-bootish but they're oh-so comfy and only EIGHT NINETY-NINE. You can't do much better than that really, can you? They're perfect.

Three coffees and several hours later and I'm on my way home on the bus, got overcharged again (silly ARRIVA). I wish they were consistent, but at least the driver was pleasant and slightly hilarious, as I got on he said "Sorry love, I'm going now you can't get on." I was so confused I stepped off and he just laughed and went "Got you! Classic" and chortled. I passed the house we want to buy, the bus stop is literally about five paces from the door, unlike the half mile from home our closest bus stop is. Of course the weather being the weather I got absolutely drenched and freezing.
Seeing as I've mentioned it and it's kind of a current point of interest, I'll talk about the weather. Apparently hurricane Bawbag is back and wreaking havoc in Scotland, a few people have died and it's pretty bloody vile really. I've been caught out in violent wind and hail twice now. Once on the 10 minute walk from the bus stop to home (my face and chest went the same colour as my lipstick and I got brain-freeze from the combined hail and wind-chill). It's pretty dangerous weather, when me and Momma were on the way home from shopping we almost got hit by a sofa lorry that swerved to try counteract this massive gust of wind that almost toppled it. I made her come off the motorway at the next exit, only 2 exits before the one right next to our house :')

This is a video taken in Edinburgh, it's been shown on the BBC all day, the bin looks like a paper prop the way it's shooting down the street!

Cor blimey!

Human Remains Practical

I know the title is weird but that's what appeared when I started to type "hullo sweeties" and I thought it was cute and quirky so there it is. I should probably update later rather than now, so I have more time because there are exciting things to talk about but whatever, I'm posting now because I am too excited about my new crockery from Whittard's. I'm going to chuck out all the rest of my crockery at the Nottingham house and use my shiny new stuff.

I'm off into Wakefield with ma mere in approximately 30 minutes, definitely not enough time for a proper post (not if I want to clothe myself anyways). I'm going to buy a microphone so I can do videos e.t.c. properly. Fingers crossed 30 minutes is enough time to research them!!!!>!>!>!?."21!
I'm sure it will be.

Here is my new crockery. It's the "Tribe" pattern. And all 4 pieces came to just £10. I have not been so happy all day as when she scanned them babies through the scanner.

Fucking Whittard. Love it.

OH YEY I HAVE A FOLLOWER!

Sure I've known her for going on eight years by now... But look! a shiny new medium for me to spout drivel at you from! Put your hands up in the air if you're super excited! *waggles what my maternal parent provided me with*
I would encourage all you goodly folk out there to do the same thing, the internet is not, I repeat: is not, ready fo' this jelly. Well, actually I hope they are, otherwise that would be quite unfortunate. We'd have servers crashing everywhere, tiny robotic dogs urinating themselves and short-circuiting, rick-rolling abounds and tumblr would even shut down. Bam bam baaaaaam (wait, doesn't that happen all th-... oh).

But, lovely darlings, hear my plea. If you can put up with an unspecified number of posts with unspecified content, pick me. Honestly do, because really how long are you going to spend reading things like this?

OR THIS:

OR EVEN THIIIIS:

The last one is a personal favourite. I used to quote it at my housemate a lot. We had a thing for spidermeme it's "the gift that keeps on giving", never a truer word typed about a meme. Love to you my spidey brother.
(I hasten to add I was trying to make a point about reading my blog rather than wasting your time with spidermeme and his other internet chums but WHO AM I KIDDING I just spent 15 minutes looking through them instead of finishing this post. Surrender yourselves to the internet, my pretties!)

Not much has really happened since this afternoon, watched The Hangover and Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers. So suffice it to say it's been nice. Well done me.

Also -->HERE<-- is my twitter. According to the bio the Daily Snail referred to me as "best tweeter in the twitterverse" (let it be known that I've no idea if I'm breaching any laws by referring to the Daily Snail, should it actually exist...) :D

I TOLD YOU I WAS RUBBISH AT THIS STUFF.

I've no idea what to do, should I be reviewing things, should I be doing crafty things, or taking pictures or writing poetry?!? I DON'T KNOW. It's been 5 days since I updated, so clearly I'm not very good at keeping up with this either. Let's see... what's happened over the past few days?

Well, we had a very special holiday known to all as "New Year", it's essentially a celebration of human's ability to CONTROL TIME AND SPAAAAACE! Oh, no. Hold on a second, I'm pretty sure this year is a "leap year" which is just evidence of the fact we can't actually control space and time, in fact, leap years are just a massive cover up for the fact that the calendar doesn't technically work at all. I mean how inconsiderate, people have their BIRTHDAYS on a day that doesn't even technically exist 3 out of every 4 years. Seems stupid to me.
Of course all New Years' really represents is another excuse to get hah-mmerred. And in due keeping with earthly tradition I myself got a little squiffy.

I say a little, I was rip-roaring shit-faced and I don't care who knows it. I textually assaulted several good friends, lost at junior monopoly and almost bust my nose open balancing on my hands. Then I felt shit on New Years' Day of course, and spent the entire time wrapped in a blanket, only emerging at 9 o'clock to go harrass my friend, watch films and eat ice-cream. I think the harassment was the most successful portion of the evening, we left him with a headache and two empty tubs of Ben & Jerry's (Phish food is categorically the best, don't even try to argue with me) and I can now say with glee "Yes, yes I have watched Rush Hour 3, what a superb moving picture."

Looking through my notes I've found several doodles of great beauty and worth, and I thought I'd share some with you today.
Here we appear to have a jellyfish and a one-eyed fish, and a dedication to my friend.

Here we have some things, one of which things is a leek with a face. One of the others is "not-a-goose" (There's no geese in Genoese...) and some strange striped fox-dog-cat-bear saying hello to my friend. And a signature that looks nothing like my actual signature.

I just got some correspondence that means I may have more plans for tonight, other than going to a friend's for tea. More LOTR by the sounds of it! :D HUZZAH.
We'll see anyway. Ugh. I should probably rethink this whole blogging thing. I'll research... TO THE INTERNETS!
