I've had a really gorgey day, up at the wholly unholy (heh heh) hour of 08:30 and went to Junction 32 (shopping "village") in Castleford and bought the crockery I posted a picture of earlier, I'm still really pleased with those! Got back and had lunch and then my friend was all like "LET'S GO FOR COFFEE RIGHT NOW IN WAKEFIELD" I'm all "yeah sure" because I sure do love coffee and natter, and she can help me out with that. Seems that loads of people I know were in town today, but we only bumped into one friend. We plobbled across to Trinity Walk and I bought some SHOES, oh my gosh they're super. They were only £8.99! I was looking for brogues, but these are more me I reckon.
Three coffees and several hours later and I'm on my way home on the bus, got overcharged again (silly ARRIVA). I wish they were consistent, but at least the driver was pleasant and slightly hilarious, as I got on he said "Sorry love, I'm going now you can't get on." I was so confused I stepped off and he just laughed and went "Got you! Classic" and chortled. I passed the house we want to buy, the bus stop is literally about five paces from the door, unlike the half mile from home our closest bus stop is. Of course the weather being the weather I got absolutely drenched and freezing.
Seeing as I've mentioned it and it's kind of a current point of interest, I'll talk about the weather. Apparently hurricane Bawbag is back and wreaking havoc in Scotland, a few people have died and it's pretty bloody vile really. I've been caught out in violent wind and hail twice now. Once on the 10 minute walk from the bus stop to home (my face and chest went the same colour as my lipstick and I got brain-freeze from the combined hail and wind-chill). It's pretty dangerous weather, when me and Momma were on the way home from shopping we almost got hit by a sofa lorry that swerved to try counteract this massive gust of wind that almost toppled it. I made her come off the motorway at the next exit, only 2 exits before the one right next to our house :')
This is a video taken in Edinburgh, it's been shown on the BBC all day, the bin looks like a paper prop the way it's shooting down the street!
Cor blimey!
